The colt is by the highest ranked sire in the world, Frankel (Galileo), who was a racing phenomena and unbeaten in his 14-start career as the highest rated racehorse in the world. The colt is the first foal from a mare by Invincible Spirit, the sire of reigning Australian Champion Sire I Am Invincible, the sire of Te Akau star mare and 10-time Group One winner Imperatriz.

The dam side pedigree is high quality, with third dam Clepsydra, by breed shaping stallion Sadler’s Well (Northern Dancer), leaving nine individual winners of 30 races, including two Group One winners. One of those Group One winners, Passage Of Time (Dansili), is the dam of dual Group Two and dual Group Three winning stallion Time Test (Dubawi), who is familiar to New Zealanders standing at Little Avondale Stud. 

“It’s a truly international family and the Frankel/Invincible Spirit cross is proven in Europe,” said David Ellis. “He is a very athletic big colt, with plenty of leg, and we were particularly taken with his attitude. 

“Frankel was probably the most famous racehorse in the world for some time and for him to be the leading sire in the world (TRC Global Sire Rankings) speaks for itself. “It’s very exciting to have a colt by him available for owners to be a part of and to have a Frankel colt in the stable. 

“In addition to Frankel, Invincible Spirit is one of the best in the world when it comes to sire of sires and we don’t have to look any further than Australian Champion Sire I Am Invincible to see that.

“We have had plenty of success with the high class progeny of I Am Invincible, with Imperatriz leading the way. “On type, we expect this colt to be ready for racing as a summer/autumn two-year-old and train on to be an even better prospect as a three and four-year-old.” The colt carries a bloodline cross to Sadler’s Wells, on the sire line of Frankel as the sire of Galileo and as the sire of third dam Clepsydra.
