Business Manager

Jenny Jackson JP is Business Manager for the wider Te Akau operation and one of its longest-serving team members. Her connection with Te Akau began after she moved into the district and started working alongside Sir David Ellis. After taking time away while her children were young, she returned to Te Akau Stud in a full-time role.

Across more than 30 years of full- and part-time service, Jenny has developed an exceptional understanding of Te Akau’s people, systems and day-to-day business. Her experience spans many stages of the organisation’s growth, giving her valuable perspective on both its history and its evolving needs.

Appointed Business Manager in 2022, Jenny is a trusted member of the senior management team. Her detailed organisational knowledge, sound judgement and practical approach support the smooth operation of the wider business. Her role requires discretion, responsiveness and the ability to balance long-term business priorities with the immediate needs of the racing, stud and ownership teams. She is known for her ability to resolve challenges, maintain continuity and ensure information and decisions move efficiently across the organisation.

Jenny also contributes significantly to the local community. She is a volunteer firefighter and was appointed a Justice of the Peace in 2021. Her loyalty, intelligence and calm approach continue to make her an important source of stability as Te Akau grows across New Zealand and Australia.
