A winning debut by Drops of God showed every indication she was something special, racing away to claim victory by 5.5 lengths at Te Aroha in December 2025. This despite the saddle slipping too!
After winning again at Ellerslie on New Year's Day 2026, she attempted her first black type event on Karaka Millions' night, finishing a gallant third in the $250,000 Group 3 Cambridge Stud Almanzor Trophy 3YO SW+P 1200m. The winner was stablemate Belle Cheval who subsequently was beaten a nostril in the #4.5 million NZB Kiwi but then claimed an outstanding victory in the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes in Sydney at her next start.
Black type success was about to come her very well deserved way ... on ANZAC Day in April 2026, Drops of God cruised home with consummate ease to claim the $100,000 Group 3 Windsor Park Cambridge Breeders' Stakes 3YO SW 1200m at Te Rapa with Craig Grylls in the saddle.
Raced by her breeder Nearco Stud, alongside Raptor Thoroughbred Ltd, Drops of God has raced four times for three wins and one placing, earning $136,360 in prize money to date.
