Donna Logan

Te Akau Singapore Trainer

Donna Logan has proved to be one of the best female trainers produced in New Zealand, and joined the Te Akau team as our Kranji based trainer in 2022, as Mark Walker returned to New Zealand to again lead the Matamata operation.

It has always been Donna’s approach that the care and welfare of horses is paramount, and as a conditioner there are few better.

In 2017, she headed to Singapore, off the back of a successful New Zealand training career, kick-started by Silver Kris, a half-brother to former top three-year-old Uncle Remus, who was her first winner in 1987 at Ellerslie.

Donna is a Group One winning trainer in three countries, including 2021 Kranji Mile (Gr. 1, 1600m) in Singapore.  She has trained over 900 winners, recoding 60 stakes’ wins (including eight individual Group 1 winners), and has developed an enviable record selecting and purchasing successful horses from sales.

Donna takes pride in forging good relationships in the racing industry and there is nothing she enjoys more than seeing the owners’ expressions of delight when they have a winner. Donna is relishing her training role at Te Akau and looking forward to a successful time ahead with some superbly bred thoroughbreds.
