This morning Xtravagant departed Te Akau's Matamata stable for his campaign in Melbourne!
As you will know, our New Zealand trainers Stephen Autridge and Jamie Richards have claimed their first Trainers' Premiership in their first season training together.
We could not be more proud of them and the whole team. With 104 winners - 10 Group and Listed and four of those at Group 1 level, our colt Blake was a major contributor to the season's success with his two Group 1 victories in the NZ 2000 Guineas (by 8.5 lengths) and the NRM Sprint (by 8 lengths), with the Group 3 Cambridge Breeders' Stakes completing his spoils. We wish him all the best in Australia.
