We Need Your Vote In The All Star Mile

⭐ PROBABEEL NEEDS YOUR VOTE IN THE All-Star Mile! ⭐

Let's reflect back on our darling Jo as she is known in the stables career so far...

Reigning New Zealand Horse of the Year, Probabeel (5 m Savabeel - Far Fetched, by Pins) is widely regarded as one of the best horses currently racing in Australasia.

Immensely talented from outset, Probabeel has registered some extraordinary performances. By six-time NZ Champion Sire Savabeel (Zabeel), from mare by Champion Sire Pins, she is a natural and brilliant galloper of the highest calibre and class.

Purchased by David Ellis CNZM for $380,000 as a yearling at Karaka, from draft of Waikato Stud, Probabeel is owned by Brendan Lindsay MNZM & Jo Lindsay (Cambridge Stud). She has won 12 of 28 starts, placed eight times, and topped NZ$4.5 million prize money.

The only winner of Karaka Million 2YO (Restricted Listed, 1200m) and Karaka Million 3YO Classic (Restricted Listed, 1600m) at Ellerslie, she also made her mark in Australia, winning four Group 1 races.

Competitive with two seconds and fourth in Princess Series, for three-year-old fillies at Randwick, Probabeel was back at three to win Surround Stakes (Gr. 1, 1400m), before stepping in distance to finish second in both Phar Lap Stakes (Gr. 2, 1500m) and Vinery Stud Stakes (Gr. 1, 2000m) at Rosehill.

Returning as spring four-year-old to Sydney, Probabeel resumed with slashing fresh-up run for second in Show County (Gr. 3, 1200 metres), scored emphatically in Bill Ritchie Handicap (Gr. 3, 1400m), and recorded tremendous victory off wide run in iconic Epsom Handicap (Gr. 1, 1600m) - all at Randwick.

She began '21 with brilliant victory in Geoffrey Bellmaine Stakes (Gr. 3, 1200m) on 6 February, a fortnight before recording her third Group 1 win in Australia, a gigantic effort in Futurity Stakes (Gr. 1, 1400m) on 20 February at Caulfield.

On path as five-year-old to W. S. Cox Plate (Gr. 1, 2040m), Probabeel resumed with victory in W.W. Cockram Stakes (Gr. 3, 1200m) on 28 August at Caulfield, followed with fifth in Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (Gr. 1, 1400m), produced great run for second to Zaaki (Leroidesanimaux) in Underwood Stakes (Gr. 1, 1800m) at Sandown, and turned tables on the Cox Plate favourite (Zaaki) when winning Might And Power (Gr. 1, 2000m) in October at Caulfield.

Now to the countdown of our 5 reasons - let's start with REASON NUMBER 5 - throwing back to the summer of 2019 - New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka Million night, a night like no other!

It feels like forever ago that our overseas friends could enjoy the magic of the evening the Ellerslie offers. It was an unbelievable Karaka 2YO Million hat-trick for Te Akau - WIDE DRAWS DID NOT MATTER for this beautiful mare, who swooped out wide to claim her Karaka 2YO Million crown with ease.
