Course proper, right-handed (Slow):

Two promising young horses, Costa Viva (Stack) and Ruthless Lady (Miller), worked solidly in readiness for their assignments next Monday at Taupo. Lengthening from the 800 metres they covered the final 600m in 40. With a first, second, and third from four starts as a two-year-old, Ruthless Lady resumes in the 3YO Fillies 1200 metres and Costa Viva makes her debut in the Maiden 1000 metres.
