Te Akau TV Weekend Preview

Welcome to another edition of Te Akau TV!

This week, Te Akau Assistant Trainer Sam Bergerson is back. Sam talks through the week that's been including Aromatic's fantastic win in the Counties Cup, a stable quinella with joint reigning NZB Filly of the Year Self Obsession a bold runner up.

That Counties' Cup wins was special as Aromatic's victory brought up trainer Mark Walker's 100th stakes' win in NZ. That's incredible when you consider he has been in Singapore for the past 11 years.

We cover off the runners at Te Rapa and Whanganui on Saturday. This includes Savoir Faire in the Listed Trevor and Corallie Eagle Memorial, Prise De Fer and Brando in the Group 3 Eagle Technology stakes and La Flora Belle in the Listed Steelform Roofing Group Wanganui Cup. We also have three promising two year olds stepping out at Te Rapa too, in quest of valuable Karaka Million prize money.

Sam who is currently 7 from 8 with his best bet selections provides us with his top selection for the weekend.

This weekend the curtain comes down on the 2022 Singapore racing season.  What a season it has been for the team.  Last weekend Super Impact ran the race of his life to come from well back and run second in the S$1 million Group 1 Singapore Gold Cup.  Donna and our team will be looking to go out with a winning bang - and add to the already NZ$3.55 million won for our owners from our Singapore stable.

Good luck to all runners and connections!
