Te Akau TV - Another Group 1 Weekend

Welcome to a Group 1 edition of Te Akau TV!

Te Akau Racing Manager Reece Trumper joins us this week and talks us through the 7 winners in the past six days including a 5-win Saturday with Group 3 winner Prise De Fer, Listed winner La Flora Belle alone with Soprano Supreme, Tokyo Tycoon and Inca Belle - Kai and Supreme Khan chimed in mid week too.

We have six runners across Auckland Thoroughbred Racing at Pukekohe Park and at Trentham.

Trentham is the destination for Prise De Fer who backs up in the Group One Rydges Wellington Captain Cook Stakes, while Believe in Magic lines up in the Group Two Mode Technology Wakefield Stakes. Across at Pukekohe Park we have three runners in the Group Three Mitchell Family Bonecrusher Stakes: Lord Cosmos, Kabugee and Skew Wiff. Reece also gives his Best Bet for the weekend.

David Ellis CNZM has been busy inspecting yearlings in the Hunter Valley this week. He was able to reunite with our star mare, 9-time Group One winner Avantage and her new Wootton Bassett foal at Coolmore Stud. He also got up close and personal with our former Group One winners Xtravagant and Cool Aza Beel now standing at Newhaven Park. Please also enjoy below a photo of David with superstar sire I am Invincible at Yarraman Park. Of course this fellow needs no introduction and is the father of another Group One star in her own right, last season's Champion 3YO Imperatriz.
