Te Akau Racing has two horses entered on Thursday 23 July at Riccarton (poly-track).

3:04 p.m. R7 1 Purple Prose (4 g Embellish – Lady Masako) – Triston Moodley (a1); he recorded his fourth course/distance win in the $17,000 Rating 75 1600 metres here (poly-track) on 10 June, also with Moodley aboard, and contests the corresponding event. He's been in terrific form winning three of his last four starts, remains in same grade although does go up in weight from 56.5kg to 58.5kg, and he rates a top three chance from barrier one. $5.00 & $1.70.  Note: he will race in the Care Kids colours as part of the charity fundraising day.

3:04 p.m. R7 6 Queen Of Naples (4 m Darci Brahma – Tiffany’s Time) – Masa Hashizume; she finished second to Purple Prose (above) in the $17,000 Rating 75 1600 metres here (poly-track) on 10 June, and contests the corresponding event. She won a Pearl Series' bonus race over 1400 metres here four starts ago, all three of her wins have come on the poly-track at Riccarton, including over 1600 metres, and she too has top three claims, jumping from barrier two. Fixed odds: $4.00 & $1.55.
