Heat 1 Group & Listed 1050 metres (1 ¼ lengths, short head 1:02.6)
Damask Rose (5 m Savabeel – Sombreuil) – Craig Grylls; she was pushed up to travel sixth, clear in home straight, and ran home fine without making inroads over sprint distance on heavy footing which she did not enjoy.
La Dorada (4 m Super Seth – Gold Fever) – Hayley Hassman; she settled back, was eighth on the inner, seven lengths off at the 600m, was under no pressure while remaining back and running on well through the line.
