2:52 p.m. R5 5 Sense of Timing (5 m Time Test – Pin Up Lae) – Michael McNab; she finished strongly for third in fastest last 600m (35.7) on Soft7 footing in the Rating 75 1400 metres here on 4 July, also with Michael aboard, and contests the $35,000 Rating 75 1600 metres. She impressed winning here over 1500 metres last season, and has in fact been stakes' placed three times. In her favour, she has also placed on heavy ground, and brings the right current form to rate a top three chance. Fixed odds: $6.00 & $2.20.

4:37 p.m. R8 9 Trouble Maker (3 f Redwood – Always In Trouble) – Michael McNab; she found the line from back on the inner after being held up at a vital stage in the Rating 65 1600 metres here on 4 July, and meets a similar field in the corresponding event. She has a few tricks up her sleeve and can live up to her name but her owners have been very patient with her so it was great to see her handle yielding ground when breaking through to win at her previous start. She shapes to prove competitive with two course/distance races under her belt. Fixed odds: $8.50 & $3.00.
