3:57 p.m. R6 9 Felicienne (4 m Savabeel - Flavigny) - Joe Kamaruddin (a2); she eradicated one of the best Maiden tags, following five seconds in eight starts, winning by three and a quarters lengths over stable-mate and subsequent winner Soprano Supreme (Contributer) in a Maiden 1400 metres on 23 December at Matamata. In the process, she clocked the equal fastest last 600m (34.7) on the day with stable-mate and impressive winner Wairau Cove (Darci Brahma). With weight relief to 54.5kg, she rates a top three prospect in the $30,000 Rating 65 1400 metres.

5:16 p.m. R8 7 Lightning Field (5 g Deep Field - Claudine) - Joe Kamaruddin (a2); won second-up when charging home in a Rating 65 1200 metres on 19 November at New Plymouth, and was a notable third to subsequent Boxing Day winner Jodelin Gal (Swiss Ace) in a Rating 74 1400 metres here on 10 December. Notable again when fourth in a Rating 74 1400 metres on 28 December at Rotorua, he races well on the course, also has weight relief to 54.5kg, and rates a top three chance with any luck from barrier 11 in the $30,000 Rating 74 1400 metres.
