Te Akau Tatura Tuesday Preview

Te Akau Racing has three horses entered on Tuesday 29 September at Tatura (Victoria).

5:00 p.m. R2 6 (NZ time) Fully Funded (4 m Snitzel – Bright Path) – Will Gordon; she ran on strongly from last to finish third when resuming in the Maiden 1000 metres on 30 August at Echuca, and contests the A$32,000 Maiden Fillies & Mares 1100 metres. She delivered a similar performance to win a jump out prior to commencing, has placed in three of four starts, and brings the right form to race well with luck from her dreadful draw (17). NZ TAB fixed odds: $5.00 & $1.95. 

7:30 p.m. (NZ time) R7 1 Sheanadh (4 m Night Of Thunder – Disbelieve) – Liana Wood (a3); she was given a top ride by Wood when resuming with victory in the Benchmark 56 1100 metres on 1 September at Wodonga, and remains in same grade for the A$22,000 Benchmark 56 1100 metres. She recorded a strong debut win over 1200 metres on good ground, enjoys weight relief to 61.5kg, and is ideally drawn (4) to race well again. TAB fixed odds: $4.20 & $1.75. 

8:00 p.m. (NZ time) R8 7 Golden Pulse (3 g Tivaci – Gold Fever) – Craig Newitt; he found the line for third in a jump out on 14 September at Cranbourne, and contests the AA$22,000 Benchmark 56 1000 metres. A debut winning two-year-old on Good4, she was unable to handle heavy ground when resuming in August, is a half-brother to Te Akau purchased and trained Champion Two-Year-Old La Dorada (Super Seth), and this ia a good opportunity for him to improve with a decent trip from barrier 10. NZ TAB fixed odds: $4.40 & $1.85.
