Te Akau Strikes Early

Te Akau's David Ellis has struck early at the Magic Millions' Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
Just the 17th yearling into the arena, Lot 1417 was knocked down to David for A$46,000 - a terrific buy for the filly by Flying Spur from America's Idol.
With David Ellis, Te Akau Singapore trainer Mark Walker commented:
"Karyn this filly, she's a stunner, a real Matamata Breeders' Stakes type filly (and he has won four of these remember - Ed) who has the scope to train on to be a 1000 Guineas filly as a 3YO, she's top class."
