Te Akau Singapore has 16 horses entered on Sunday 14 August at Kranji.

Te Akau trainer Donna Logan is currently one win off lead on the premiership table.

Training since 2018 in Singapore, Logan took over on 1 January from Mark Walker, who returned home to train the Te Akau team at Matamata.

Walker was Singapore Champion Trainer in 2015, 2017 (record 87 wins), 2019, and 2021 with 66 wins, also runner-up three times, third, and fourth.

 

4:00 p.m. R1 4 Mystery Power (5 g No Nay Never - Gems) - Silvestre de Sousa; drew barrier 5 of 12 in $30,000 Class 5 1400 metres on turf and carries 57.5kg. Ha has a good rider aboard and he rates a top four chance.

4:30 p.m. R2 1 Brutus (6 g Rubick - Harvest Queen) - Blake Shinn; drew barrier 1 of 10 in $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 58kg. He hit the line well for fifth last time, has good course stats, and is ideally drawn (1) to be dangerous and rates top three - in a race with two stable runners.

4:30 p.m. R2 4 Fadaboy (4 g Deep Field - Ezee Ezee) - Fadzli Yusoff (a3); drew barrier 7 of 10 in $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 51kg. A strong winner on debut, he goes up in grade which is not easy for a horse at his second start but he rates a top four chance.

5:00 p.m. R3 14 Sunday (5 g Delago Deluxe - Gentle) - unfixed; drew outside barrier (12) in $30,000 Class 5 1600 metres on turf and carries 50kg. Ballot two, unlikely to gain a start.

5:30 p.m. R4 4 Hadeer (7 g Savabeel - A Real Princess) - Jake Bayliss; drew barrier 6 of 9 in $70,000 Class 3 1200 metres on turf and carries 55.5kg. He has good course/distance stats and could upset as a top four chance - two for the stable in this race.

5:30 p.m. R4 7 Speedy Missile (6 g Smart Missile - Telegraph Girl) - Fadzli Yusoff (a3); drew barrier 3 of 9 in $70,000 Class 3 1200 metres on turf and carries 51kg. He posted a strong win last start, in well at weights (51kg) and he rates a top four chance.

6:00 p.m. R5 3 Eagle Eye (8 g Pure Prize - Miss Tessi) - Fadzli Yusoff (a3); drew barrier 9 of 11 in $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on turf and carries 53.5kg. He put up a nice performance to win last start in the same grade, clocked a slick last 400m, likes to circle with a finish and is a chance again if the is race run to suit - the first of two in the event for the stable.

6:00 p.m. R5 4 Legacy Fortune (3 g Dragon Pulse - Gold Zain) - Silvestre de Sousa; drew barrier 3 of 12 in $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on turf and carries 55.5kg. He posted two thirds in his last two starts and he rates a top three prospect.

6:30 p.m. R6 3 Montana Flash (4 g Star Turn - Dukemore) - Jake Bayliss; drew barrier 4 of 9 in $75,000 Novice 1400 metres on turf and carries 57.5kg. A smart last start winner, he is capable of holding his own and he has first four claims - again two stable reps in this event.

6:30 p.m. R6 4 Trident (3 g Deep Field - Miss Fi) - Blake Shinn; drew barrier 8 of 9 in $75,000 Novice 1400 metres on turf and carries 57.5kg. Followed a good second with a win, has ability, can match them up in grade and he loos a top three proposition.

7:30 p.m. R8 2 Axel (7 g Darci Brahma - Josephines Fortune) - Fadzli Yusoff (a3); drew outside barrier (8) in $50,000 Class 4 1600 metres on turf and carries 54.5kg. He had no chance last start when back, but he rates top four prospect with luck from his slightly tricky draw (8).

8:00 p.m. R9 5 Minister (6 g Street Sense - Light and Variable) - Jake Bayliss; drew barrier 5 of 11 in $100,000 Class 1 1600 metres on turf and carries 54.5kg. He has good course/distance stats, posted a slick final 400m last start, and he rates a top four chance - the first of a stable duo in this.

8:30 p.m. R10 4 Charminton (4 g Charm Spirit - Sarzana) - Fadzli Yusoff (a3); drew barrier 4 of 9 in $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 51kg. He has recorded a win and two second's from three starts, has natural speed, appears a leading player and rates a strong top three contender.

9:00 p.m. R11 8 King Arthur (5 g I Am Invincible - Pentasia) - Blake Shinn; drew barrier 4 of 16 in $300,000 Lion City Cup (Gr. 1, 1200m) on turf and carries 57.5kg. He is worthy of his place in the field after a hat-trick of wins, can run good times, is ideally drawn (4), has the top rider aboard and he rates a top four chance.

9:35 p.m. R12 2 Entertainer (6 g Zoustar - Laughing) - Blake Shinn; drew barrier 6 of 10 in $70,000 Class 3 1200 metres on turf and carries 57kg. He has a better polytrack record, but ear muffs and the top rider on could see him rounding off. - the first of a Te Akau stable double lining up in this.

9:35 p.m. R12 3 Stenmark (5 g Medaglia d'Oro - Scandiva) - Hakim Kamaruddn (a1); drew barrier 2 of 10 in $70,000 Class 3 1200 metres on turf and carries 55.5kg. He had no luck last time, after being slow to begin and then held up, he posted consecutive wins prior, is ideally drawn (2), and rates a strong top three prospect.
