Te Akau Singapore Sunday Preview

Te Akau Singapore has 13 horses entered on Sunday 24 July at Kranji.

Te Akau trainer Donna Logan is currently second on the premiership table.

Training since 2018 in Singapore, Logan took over on 1 January from Mark Walker, who returned home to train the Te Akau team at Matamata.

Walker was Singapore Champion Trainer in 2015, 2017 (record 87 wins), 2019, and 2021 with 66 wins, also runner-up three times, third, and fourth.

4:00 p.m. R1 10 Our Secret Weapon (4 g Outreach - Poppy's Pond) - Fadzli Yusoff (a3); drew barrier 2 of 12 in $30,000 Class 5 1000 metres on poly-track and carries 54.5kg. He was a nice course/distance winner two starts ago, is ideally drawn (2) and rates a top four chance - the first of two for the stable in the event.

4:00 p.m. R1 12 Olympia (4 g Gingerbread Man - Second Omen) - Jerlyn Seow (a3); drew barrier 6 of 12 in $30,000 Class 5 1000 metres on poly-track and carries 54kg. He has a good course/distance record, however had no luck last start and is capable of improvement.

4:30 p.m. R2 2 Fadaboy (3 g Deep Field - Ezee Ezee) - Blake Shinn; drew barrier 7 of 12 in $75,000 Restricted Maiden 1200 metres on turf and carries 57kg. On debut, he is expected to improve for the run and rates a top four chance in the hands of the top senior rider - one of three lining up for the stable in the event.

4:30 p.m. R2 7 Rocky (3 g El Roca - Anthology) - Fadzli Yusoff (a3); drew barrier 4 of 12 in $75,000 Restricted Maiden 1200 metres on turf and carries 54kg. He clocked the fastest final 400m for third on debut and he looks a top four prospect.
