Te Akau Singapore has 13 horses entered Saturday 20 May at Kranji.

Te Akau Singapore trainer Donna Logan ended her first season finishing second in the premiership, and currently sixth.  Training since 2018 in Singapore, Logan took over from Mark Walker on 1 January 2022. 

Walker was Singapore Champion Trainer in 2015, 2017 (record 87 wins), 2019, and 2021, also runner-up three times, third, and fourth.

 

4:00 p.m. R1 4 God's Gift (6 g Haradasun - Criquette) - Mark Zahra; he drew barrier 1 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1400 metres on the turf and carries 57kg. Drawn barrier one, he rates a top four chance.

4:30 p.m. R2 2 Popeyethesailorman (3 g Reward for Effort - Fudge Delight) - Louis Beuzelin; he drew barrier 9 of 11 in the $75,000 Restricted Maiden 1400 metres on the turf and carries 57kg. It's his first start for stable, and he has had some unlucky runs but he rates a top four chance with any luck from awkward gate (9).

5:00 p.m. R3 3 Aftermath (5 g Spirit of Boom - Elusive Gift) - Mark Zahra; he drew barrier 6 of 10 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on the turf and carries 57.5kg. He enjoys turf racing and rates a top four chance.

5:30 p.m. R4 9 Gamely (7 g Golden Archer - Tiny Temptress) - T H Koh (a1); he drew barrier 7 of 11 in the $30,000 Class 5 1400 metres on the turf and carries 49kg. He is likely to go forward and was racing solidly before his last start glitch.

7:30 p.m. R8 5 Charminton (4 g Charm Spirit - Sarzana) - Bernado Pinheiro; he drew barrier 2 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the turf and carries 54.5kg. He is another racing well, has there advantage of a good draw (2), and has first four claims.

7:30 p.m. R8 9 Montana Flash (4 g Star Turn - Dukemore) - Louis Beuzelin; he drew barrier 9 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the turf and carries 53kg. He will strip fitter for his first-up run, he will settle back from the draw (9) but would prefer over 1400 metres.

7:30 p.m. R8 11 Fadaboy (4 g Deep Field - Ezee Ezee) - Jamil Sarwi (a4); he drew barrier 6 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the turf and carries 47.5kg. With his light weight and he rates a top four chance.

8:00 p.m. R9 1 King Arthur (5 g I Am Invincible - Pentasia) - Mark Zahra; he drew barrier 7 of 11 in the $100,000 Class 1 1200 metres on the turf and carries 59kg. He has a big weight (59kg) to carry, but he is in solid form and rates a top three chance.

8:30 p.m. R10 3 Knippenberg (3 g I Am Invincible - Red Fez) - Ronnie Stewart; he drew barrier 5 of 10 in the $75,000 Novice 1200 metres on turf and carries 56.5kg. He drops back from Group Two to Novice class and looks a top four contender.

8:30 p.m. R10 10 Rhett Butler (2 g Charm Spirit - Thurlow) - Jamil Sarwi (a4); he drew barrier 1 of 10 in the $75,000 Novice 1200 metres on the turf and carries 48kg. He won on debut, has a light weight, the plus of barrier one, and presents as a top four chance.

9:00 p.m. R11 9 Minister (7 g Street Sense - Light and Variable) - Louis Beuzelin; he drew barrier 2 of 13 in the $1,000,000 Kranji Mile (Gr. 1, 1600m) on the turf and carries 57kg. He won this race two years ago, and meets a stellar field, he did find trouble last time so has some excuse and could pop up from a good draw (2).

9:35 p.m. R12 1 Stenmark (5 g Medaglia d'Oro - Scandiva) - Mark Zahra; he drew barrier 9 of 12 in the $70,000 Class 3 1400 metres on the turf and carries 57kg. He is another dropping back from Group Two, and he has top four claims with he can secure some luck from his awkward gate (9). 

9:35 p.m. R12 11 Trident (4 g Deep Field - Miss Fi) - Bernado Pinheiro; he drew barrier 3 of 12 in the $70,000 Class 3 1400 metres on the turf and carries 53.5kg. He ran well for fifth in the Group Two last start, he loves this distance, and is capable of a first four finish.
