Te Akau NZ Ruakaka Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has two horses entered for the ten-race programme on Wednesday June 12 at Ruakaka.
As at 8:36am on Tuesday June 11 the conditions were: fine and Dead5, rail out 3 metres.
1:20pm R5 1 Sunset Pass (4 g Yamanin Vital - Janet's Chance) - Rory Hutchings; found the Heavy11 ground too testing when fifth on June 5 in the Maiden High-weight 2000 metres at Matamata. Although he will require luck in running to negate a wide barrier in the Maiden 2100 metres, improved footing will certainly help his cause - one of two in the race for Te Akau.
1:20pm R5 5 Cajero (3 g Encosta De Lago - Cashier) - Matt Cameron; makes his debut. An immature type, he should be able to receive an economical run from barrier two and dead ground has seen the best of him at the trials.
