Te Akau Kilmore Monday Preview

Te Akau Racing has three horses entered on Monday 28 September at Kilmore (Victoria).

4:30 p.m. (NZ) - 1:30 p.m. (Vic) R1 10 Regal Banter (3 f King’s Legacy – Chit Chat) – Lachlan Neindorf; she finished a close up fourth in a trial on 14 September at Cranbourne, and resumes in the A$32,000 Maiden 3YO 1450 metres. She did well for second off a tough trip on debut as two-year-old, and appears capable of solid showing if she can secure a decent trip from barrier eight. NZ TAB fixed odds: $7.00 & $2.30.

5:00 p.m. (NZ) - 2:00 p.m. (Vic) R2 5 Girt By Sea (4 m Ocean Park – Baggy Green) – Lachlan Neindorf; she finished fifth in a jump out on 14 September at Cranbourne, and debuts in the A$32,000 Maiden Fillies & Mares 1450 metres. She is well bred, being a sister to four-time Group One winner Tofane and half-sister to Group One winner No Compromise (Pins), and she has the opportunity to commence her racing career with an encouraging performance from barrier six. NZ TAB fixed odds: $8.50 & $2.30.

6:30 p.m. (NZ) - 3:30 p.m. (Vic) R5 2 Royal Rendezvous (4 g Royal Meeting – Alana’s Party) – Lachlan Neindorf; he let down very well after being back and wide to win a jump out on 14 September at Cranbourne, and contests the A$27,000 Class 1 1100 metres. He powered home to win over 1000 metres on debut also with the same rider aboard, is a half-brother to Te Akau trained four-time stakes’ winner, the recently retired Bellatrix Star (Star Witness), and is a genuine top four chance. NZ TAB fixed odds: $4.00 & $1.70.
