Te Akau: It's a Good Friday Treble

The day's racing got even better at Kranji as Mark Walker trained a winning treble.

What a Good Friday it was in every sense of the word!

Te Akau Singapore trainer Mark Walker continued on his winning way - with three wins on the programme on Friday evening (NZ time).

This treble of wins has kept Walker's domination of the Trainers' Premiership in tact - it is a talking point across Singapore and the racing constituency - a remarkable feat in just his third full season of training there.

Te Akau Racing is also the leading owner currently in Singapore with 11 wins at the start of the evening - five ahead of the next owner.

Te Akau started the winning performance with Fortuna's Lord Roberto cruising to victory for Harry Kasim, Zac Command snaring victory and then Golden Sand Steed claiming the last - both ridden by champion jockey Joao Moreira.  Both Lord Roberto and Golden Sand Steed were purchased by David Ellis from Karaka.

There were plenty of other top efforts too with Soul Commander continuing his good run of form when second as was Von Snitzel.  Encosta Diablo ran a super race for third when you consider he threw a front plate and Eclair Sensation also finished third.  Watch for Eaton's Gold too - he was very unlucky in his event.

We are really looking forward to Sunday racing at Kranji where Te Akau has another super team fit and ready for action.
