Weather: fine, track: Soft6, rail: out 4 metres. No rain forecast.

12:42 p.m. R4 4 Final Red (2 g Burgundy - Tad Infinitum) - Joe Kamaruddin (a); he positioned handily but was unable to quicken on the Heavy10 going when resuming in the $14,000 Maiden 2YO 1200 metres on 14 May at Matamata, and contests the corresponding event. From barrier one, he receives the chance to prove more competitive on better ground.

1:17 p.m. R5 7 Angel Wings (3 f Heroic Valour - Gowana) - Warren Kennedy; she positioned handily but was another unable to quicken on Heavy10 ground in the $14,000 Maiden 1200 metres on 14 May at Matamata, and likewise she contests the corresponding event. She was going well prior, and receives the chance to bounce back on better track conditions.

1:52 p.m. R6 12 Popthebubbles (3 f Wrote - Vickezzlepin) - Sam Weatherley; she tried hard from beyond midfield on Heavy10 when resuming in the Maiden 3YO 1200 metres on 14 May at Matamata, and contests the $14,000 Maiden 3YO 1400 metres. Competitive at this mark previously, he has the senior rider aboard, and will be seeking to improve from barrier four.

3:07 p.m. R8 11 Invincibeel (4 m Savabeel - Matakana) - Joe Kamaruddin (a); she had a glitch with blinkers on two starts ago but rounded off pretty well in the Rating 65 1400 metres on 28 April at Rotorua.
