2.30 p.m. R1 2 Mazzuro (5 g Rip Van Winkle - Mini Pearl) - Danielle Johnson; won easing down by two and a half lengths in the Rating 65 2100 metres on 28 October at Te Rapa, and followed with a solid fifth in the Rating 72 2100 metres on 16 November at Tauranga. Ideally drawn (3) in the $30,000 Rating 72 2100 metres, he rates a top four chance. Fixed odds: $6.50 & $2.10.





3.05 p.m. R2 1 Bordeaux Le Rouge (2 g Burgundy - De La Vere) - Troy Harris; showed good pace to lead and fought hard for second on debut in the 2YO 1000 metres on 9 November at Te Rapa, and likely to have the wood on most in the $20,000 Maiden 2YO 1100 metres. Fixed odds: $1.65 & $1.10.





3.40 p.m. R3 11 Equinox (3 c Exceed and Excel - Our Ella Belle) - Craig Grylls; has been given time (33 days) since contesting the Sarten Memorial (Gr. 2, 1400m) at Te Rapa, and contests the $35,000 Rating 82 1100 metres. He finished second to subsequent 2000 Guineas (Gr. 1, 1600m) winner Catalyst (Darci Brahma) when resuming in the El Roca - Sir Colin Meads Trophy (Listed, 1200m) at Hastings, and competitively placed at the weights (54kgs) to make his presence felt. Fixed odds: $4.00 & $1.50.
