Te Akau Cranbourne Friday Preview - Abandoned

DUE TO HEAVY RAIN - CRANBOURNE HAS BEEN ABANDONED

Te Akau Racing has two horses entered on Friday 2 October at Cranbourne (Victoria).

Cranbourne:

Weather: showers, track: Good3, rail: out 3 metres. 23mls rain forecast Thursday and 6mls rain Friday.

9:45 p.m. (NZ) - 6:45 p.m. (Vic) R2 8 Kiss Me In Paris (3 f Capitalist – Fromparis Withlove) – Michael Dee; she went forward from the outside gate to lead and comfortably won a trial on 14 September at Cranbourne, also with Michael Dee aboard. Resuming in the A$60,000 Maiden 3YO 1000 metres, she is by Group 1 Golden Slipper winner and Champion Two-Year-Old Capitalist (Written Tycoon), from a stakes’ placed mare that won three races to 1400 metres. She is ideally drawn (3) to commence with a bold showing. NZ TAB fixed odds: $11.00 & $3.30.

12:15 a.m. (NZ) - 9:15 p.m. (Vic) R7 9 Lyrics ‘N’ Song (4 m Written Tycoon – Melody Belle) – Logan Bates (a1.5); she kept finding off a tough trip to win a Benchmark 62 1200 metres on 10 September at Seymour, and contests the A$60,000 Benchmark 66 1400 metres. The first foal of mighty mare Melody Belle, she won her Maiden here before running third in Listed Twilight Glow Stakes (1400m),. While she is fashioning a good record, and enjoys weight relief to 58kg, she needs a whole lot of good fortune and navigation to overcome her wide gate (14). TAB fixed odds: $6.00 & $2.10.
