Te Akau Racing has two horses entered on Wednesday 9 September at Cambridge (poly-track)

2:17 p.m. R3 3 Petite Rocher (4 m Grunt – Little Rock) – Michael McNab; she was steadied back on the inner and remained nicely held together while finishing well for fourth in a trial on 25 August at Waipa, also with Michael McNab aboard. Resuming in the $18,500 Maiden 970 metres, she placed in three of her six starts during her first campaign, has shown the ability to act well when in a fresh state, and rates a top three chance if appreciative of the synthetic surface at her first attempt. Fixed odds: $3.10 & $1.35.

2:52 p.m. R4 4 Paravane (5 m Merchant Navy – In The Vanguard) – Cooper Stumbles (a4); she turned for home with a handy advantage and sustained a very good effort for second in a trial on 4 August at Te Rapa, likewise with Te Akau's new apprentice Cooper Stumbles in the saddle. Resuming in the $18,500 Rating 69 970 metres, she has the benefit of the apprentice weight relief to 54kg, and is another who has shown the ability race well when she comes in fresh. The half-sister to Sword of State, she also steps out on the synthetic surface for the first time and if she handles it, she can race competitively.  Fixed odds: $3.80 & $1.45.
