David Ellis had his Investiture ceremony to accept his CNZM, for services to the Thoroughbred industry at Government House, Wellington, on 27 October 2020.
Te Akau principal David Ellis received the Outstanding Contribution to Racing Award in 2017 and added further distinction with his appointment as a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit (CNZM) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2020.
