Purchased by David Ellis from the 2008 Karaka Premier Sale for $140,000 and trained by Mark Walker, this son of Captain Rio/Bahira is raced by Fortuna No.7 Syndicate (Manager J Galvin). The gelding was the winner of the $50,000 Listed NZ Bloodstock Castletown Stakes on 1 June 2009 at just his fourth start and won the $45,000 Listed Hallmark Stud Mr Tiz Trophy at Ellerslie in March 2010. He relocated to Singapore in September 2010 where he was Te Akau's first winner.
