LILIKOI

Bred and raced by Sir Peter Vela, carrying the famous blue and white colours, Lilikoi made an early impression.

Entrusted to Te Akau, Lililoi is by Charm Spirit out of Barbadine - she claimed the $70,000 Group 3 Lawnmaster Eulogy Stakes by almost two lengths at Awapuni on 14 December 2019.  Ridden by Rosie Myers, she kicked and was dominant in the finish.

It was Te Akau's fourth Eulogy Stakes' victory with other titles coming via Crystal Palace, Insouciant (also bred and raced by Sir Peter who was named NZB Filly of the Year) and King's Rose - also a subsequent NZB Filly of the Year.

Lilikoi then stepped out in the $100,000 Group 2 Valachi Downs Royal Stakes over 2000m on New year's Day 2020 and put in a spirited performance to finish third.

Lilikoi, trained by Jamie Richards, has raced seven times for two wins and four placings with prize money of $63,875.
