Aotea Lad was scintillating on debut - when winning the $100,000 Group 2 Wakefield Challenge Stakes 2YO SW 1100m at Trentham in December 2018.
He then went on to finish second in the Karaka 2YO Million in January 2019, part of the winning Te Akau trifecta in that event.
By Savabeel, from the Group 1 performed mare Corsage, he was bred at Te Akau Stud and was purchased by David Ellis from the NZB Karaka Book 1 Sale.
He has raced flour times for a win and two second placings for stakes of $246,150.
