Trained by Te Akau for breeders Sir Patrick and Justine, Lady Hogan of Cambridge Stud.  The daughter of Redoute’s Choice from Crimson won on debut in September 2012 and at just her second start (on her actual birthday of 19 October) she claimed the $50,000 Listed Ray Coupland Stakes at Ashburton – Te Akau’s 7th win in this race.

After winning races in November and December 2013, in January 2014 she snared her second stakes’ win when claiming the $50,000 Listed Anniversary Handicap over 1600m at Trentham.  During Auckland Cup Week she was second to the talented Chintz in the $70,000 Group 3 Westbury Classic 1400m.

In November 2014, Abidewithme was beaten a nose into second in the $70,000 Group 3 Sofitel Luxury Hotel Stakes at Ellerslie before being very unlucky when 4th in the $100,000 Group 2 Cal Isuzu Stakes at Te Rapa in December.

In 2015 Abidewithme finished fourth in the Group 3 Westbury Classic in March at Ellerslie and 3rd in the Group 1 New Zealand Thoroughbred Breeders’ Stakes in April at Te Aroha.

On ANZAC Day 2015 she broke through for her well deserved third stakes’ win when claiming the $100,000 Group 2 Travis Stakes over 2000m at Te Rapa in the hands of Michael McNab – his first stakes’ win.  Then transferred to Australia for a campaign, after which she returned to Te Akau in March 2016  and immediately made an impact – rushing home from last to finish a neck second in the $200,000 Group 1 NZ Thoroughbred Breeders’ Stakes in April 2016.

Later that month she finished runner up to the classy Rasa Lila in the $100,000 Group 2 Travis Stakes (the race she won last year) at the Cambridge Jockey Club’s meeting at Te Rapa.

In November Abidewithme reunited with her winning Group 2 Travis Stakes’ jockey Michael McNab to claim the $100,000 Group 2 Tauranga Stakes over 1600m.

Abidewithme has won nine races and been placed 11 times for stakes’ earnings of $441,175.
